Based in Mattice, Ontario the position would require travel to communities in the surrounding area.

We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently. The HVAC Technician plays a vital role in ensuring optimal indoor climate control and energy efficiency across various projects. Candidates with experience in plumbing, welding, boiler systems, appliance repair, or construction will find this position especially suitable. A thorough understanding of schematics and mechanical systems is essential for success in this role.

Duties

- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation units
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct inspections to identify system deficiencies or potential failures
- Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, and electrical wiring




- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems when necessary
- Weld or modify components as required for system repairs or upgrades
- Maintain detailed records of service activities and parts used
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to building codes during all installation and repair work

Experience

- Minimum G3 licensing required
- Proven experience working with HVAC systems in residential or commercial environments
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, appliances, and general building systems is highly desirable
- Skilled in plumbing, welding, and construction-related tasks
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and troubleshooting manuals
- Mechanic experience or background in appliance repair is advantageous
- Prior experience working on boiler systems or other complex mechanical equipment is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics accurately
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently
