Job Summary:

East Coast Sheet Metal are one of the biggest HVAC and General Mechanical contractors based in Atlantic Canada, and have been executing large commercial ventilation projects since 1987.

We are seeking skilled Sheet Metal and Ventilation installer or experienced Skilled Trades in any field to join our team.

The successful candidate will have working knowledge of sheet metal, installation, commercial and residential ductwork / ventilation practices. The successful candidates will have a wiliness to learn and be able to adapt indifferent situations.

Responsibilities:

- Site installation of all HVAC equipment and ventilation distribution items (including grilles, diffusers, exhaust fans (EF), fire dampers (FD), etc.) according to specifications and building codes

- Receive materials on site and ensure proper storage

- Interpret HVAC drawings, sketches and work specifications to be performed

- Install and use rigging and hoisting heavy equipment complying safety and lifting plan

- Cut and fabricate sheet metal parts using welding, soldering, riveting

- Follow company safety policies, work procedures, and company policies as outlined in the employee handbook

- Track materials and advise the site foreman when supplies are low

- Always maintain a safe and clean work area

- Ensure all tools are properly maintained and report any damages to the site foreman





- Ensure quality installation of HVAC systems to ensure conformance to specifications

Qualifications:

- Apprentice or Block in Sheet Metal Trade
- Experience designing and installing fully ducted systems heating, cooling and ventilation systems in commercial
- Experience ducting heat pump, air handlers and ducted concealed units
- Ambitious, detail-oriented, friendly, willing to learn/adapt, and works well in a team environment
- Class 5 Drivers License
