We are currently seeking a part-time supervisor for our Food Services department to join our growing and dynamic team!

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Supervision of staff, food production, and food service to residents and staff in order to ensure optimum quality meals
- Achieve and maintain high sanitation standards with complete operation of food service department, and in accordance to the Ministry of Health Compliance legislation
- Maintain effective communication with residents, dietary staff and other interdepartmental staff
- Ensure staff attendance and perform scheduling tasks as necessary
- Inspect menu items during preparation
- Supervise meal services for all meals




- Inventory and purchase food and office supplies daily
- Sign delivery slips daily as required
- Manage catering requirements as needed, including Special Caterings.
- Supervise all areas of food production to ensure standards are met.
- Maintain standards of personal hygiene for personnel.
- Inspect and enforce sanitation procedures and practices; e.g. food samples, refrigerator temperatures.
- Other duties as required by food services manager

Skills and Experience:

- Minimum one (1) years experience as a Food Service Supervisor is an asset
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills is an asset
- Experience in a Health Care or Long Term Care facility is preferred
- Demonstrated computer experience is an asset
- Minimum graduation of a Food Service Supervisor program from a recognized college and/or its equivalent is required
- Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management is an asset
