We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including exams, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare patients for treatment by taking medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly
- Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use, maintaining strict infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs, utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology when necessary
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental software ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and patience,
creating a welcoming environment for children receiving dental care
Skills
- Proven experience with dental assisting procedures and knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Familiarity with dental practice management software for scheduling and record-keeping
- Experience working with orthodontic patients and supporting orthodontic procedures
- Strong understanding of infection control standards and sterilization techniques in a dental setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed
- Knowledge of CAD technology used in digital dentistry applications
- Ability to multitask efficiently as both a clinical assistant and front desk support, including handling some basic dental receptionist duties
