Position Overview

We’re looking for a skilled Cabinet Maker / Installer with 2–5 years of experience in a cabinet or furniture shop to join our team. In this dual role, you’ll be building custom millwork and furniture pieces in our Barrie shop with precision and care, as well as leading or assisting with high-quality on-site installations.

This position is full-time and permanent.

Responsibilities

- Shop Fabrication: Build custom kitchen cabinets, vanities, and furniture pieces according to detailed shop drawings and specifications.
- Machinery & Assembly: Safely and efficiently operate woodworking machinery (panel saws, edgebanders, drills, etc.) and assemble cabinet components with high accuracy.
- Surface Prep: Sand, prep, and inspect parts for finishing and final assembly.
- On-Site Installation: Transport, deliver, and install custom cabinetry and millwork at residential and commercial job sites.
- Site Precision: Perform exact scribing, leveling, filler integration, and hardware installation to ensure a seamless finish.
- Client & Site Care: Maintain a clean, secure workspace both in the shop and on job sites; represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and other trades.
- Collaboration & Quality Control: Work closely with the team to meet project deadlines, maintain strict quality standards, and continuously refine your craftsmanship.

Qualifications

- 2-5 years of experience in custom cabinetmaking, furniture building, or millwork installation.




- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, tools, materials, and hardware systems.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, and elevation specs.
- Experience with on-site installation tools, scribing techniques, and field adjustments.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and pride in clean execution.
- Valid driver’s license.(for traveling to job sites).
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
