About the job
As a Senior Business Analyst / Project Leader, you will:
- Lead and coordinate complex business and technology projects that support critical emergency health services systems.
- Work closely with clients, stakeholders and technical teams to identify business needs, analyze requirements and recommend effective solutions.
- Lead business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design and implementation planning.
- Help modernize and enhance a large-scale technology environment that supports Ontario's 911 call-taking and ambulance dispatch operations.
- Coordinate project teams through all phases of systems development, testing, implementation and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic advice on business processes, technology solutions and service improvements to support operational excellence.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks and issues, and communicate project status and recommendations to senior leadership.
What you bring to the team
Business Analysis and Strategic Thinking
You have:
- experience eliciting, analyzing and documenting business, functional and technical requirements.
- the ability to assess business needs, evaluate options and recommend practical, client-focused solutions.
- knowledge of business analysis methodologies, process mapping and requirements management practices.
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support evidence-based decision-making.
Project Leadership and Delivery
You have:
- experience leading large,
complex projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- knowledge of project management principles, tools and methodologies.
- the ability to manage competing priorities, project schedules, resources, risks and deliverables.
- proven ability to drive projects from concept through implementation and evaluation.
Information Technology and Systems Expertise
You have:
- knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies and systems analysis and design practices.
- experience supporting the design, development, testing and implementation of technology solutions.
- an understanding of application architecture, system integration and emerging technologies.
- the ability to assess technology options and provide informed recommendations to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
You have:
- the ability to build productive working relationships with clients, business partners, technical teams and vendors.
- strong facilitation, consultation and negotiation skills.
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information to diverse audiences.
- experience presenting recommendations, project updates and solutions to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Leadership and Collaboration
You have:
- experience providing leadership, guidance and direction to project team members.
- the ability to foster collaboration, build consensus and support positive team outcomes.
- robust conflict resolution and relationship management skills.
- commitment to inclusive, respectful and client-focused service delivery.
