Scuka Enterprises Ltd. is looking for a full-time Carpenter or Apprentice Carpenter to join our team working on residential, multi-family, and commercial construction projects in Kelowna, BC.
As a General Contractor, we offer the opportunity to work on all phases of construction—from concrete formwork and framing to finishing carpentry and everything in between. This is a great prospect for someone looking to expand their skills and build a long-term career in construction.
Responsibilities
- Concrete formwork, footing and foundation work
- Framing and structural carpentry
- Backing, blocking, and general carpentry
- Exterior and interior finishing
- Renovations and tenant improvements
- Reading blueprints, layouts, and specifications
- General construction and site support activities
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
Qualifications
- Carpenter Apprentices and Journeyperson Carpenters encouraged to apply
- Experience with framing and concrete formwork
- Ability to work safely at heights
- Physically fit and capable of lifting 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Dependable, trustworthy, and self-motivated
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality
Assets
- Blueprint reading and layout experience
- Knowledge of the BC Building Code
- Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 2 or 3
- Fall Protection certification
- WHMIS certification
- Equipment tickets (Telehandler, Man Lift, Rough Terrain Forklift, Skid Steer/Bobcat)
- Experience with site safety coordination or safety leadership
