Rate of Pay: $17.38 - $18.38 per hour

ROOM ATTENDANT – GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Housekeeping team is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel, including guest rooms and public areas. This is an excellent front-line chance for someone looking to begin a career in the hotel industry.

Room Attendants play a vital role in the guest experience by ensuring each guest room is clean, welcoming, and ready for arrival. This position requires the ability to work independently, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding cleanliness standards. Room Attendants typically work by themselves, completing a daily list of assigned rooms.

Key Responsibilities

· Clean assigned guest rooms to brand and property standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing washrooms.

· Replenish guest room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and coffee amenities.

· Respond to guest requests and feedback in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.

· Always maintain the security and privacy of guest rooms.

· Follow all safety and sanitation policies, including WHMIS and fire safety protocols.

· Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards to leadership.

· Participate in departmental communication meetings.

· Embrace and uphold the hotel's Vision, Mission, and Values.

· Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned by leadership.

Fast-paced and dynamic, the Houseperson role is essential to daily operations and overall guest satisfaction. This multi-faceted position supports both guests and team members by maintaining public areas, restocking supplies, and responding promptly to requests. Housepersons often work collaboratively, with duties typically divided between janitorial functions and deliveries/restocking.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness all public areas, including the lobby, hallways, washrooms, elevators, pool and fitness centre.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the port cochere and parking lot area of the Hotel and guest courtyard.
- Support Room Attendants by delivering fresh linens and amenities and removing used items.
- Respond to guest requests by delivering items such as amenities, pre-packaged food, and cots.
- Restock complimentary items in the Elite Pantry (a self-serve lounge for Elite-level guests).
- Retrieve and organize supplies for guest-facing departments.
- Serve as the initial contact for minor maintenance issues when the maintenance team is unavailable.
- Complete project work such as scheduled carpet shampooing or deep cleaning of public spaces.
- Uphold all brand and property standards for cleanliness, safety, and guest service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Position Details

Shifts: 8.5-hour shifts, with start times as early as 6:00 AM and end times as late as 11:30 PM. Ability to cover occasional overnight shifts for vacation coverage is considered an asset.

Availability: Full-Time: 28 - 40 hours/week

Rate of Pay: $17.76 - $18.76 per hour

- Available for working a variety of shifts which includes weekends, statutory holidays, evenings and overnights as required.

Shifts: 8.5-hour shifts from 11PM to 7:30AM, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or additional for vacation coverage needs

Pay: $17.38-$18.76 per hour
