Job Overview
We are seeking 1 dedicated Grounds Maintenance Workers to join our team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, and ensuring the safety of our grounds. The ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience with various landscaping and maintenance tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a agile environment, contributing to the upkeep of our commercial property. This position offers three 8 hour shifts a week during the summer with weekends off and varied weather dependent shifts during the winter.
Responsibilities
- Mow lawns, trim shrubs, and prune trees to maintain landscape appearance
- Operate small equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and hand tools for various tasks
- Assist with construction or renovation projects related to outdoor spaces
- Maintain safety standards during all operations and handle equipment responsibly
- assist with snow clearing and related duties during the winter months
Skills
- Experience with landscape maintenance an asset
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and repairing equipment such as mowers and trimmers
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining grounds effectively
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities
This position is ideal for semi retired individuals passionate about outdoor work, landscaping, and groundskeeping. Schedule is not suitable for students. Candidates should be prepared for physical activity, capable of operating various tools and equipment safely, and committed to maintaining high standards of grounds care.
