Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands is currently seeking a driven and energetic individual to join our growing business in eastern Ontario as a BUSPERSON. Under the supervision of the Sous Chef, this position is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, culinary equipment and utensils including all dishes, glasses and pots/pans while contributing to a secure and welcoming work environment for all employees.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Organizes, rinses, sprays and loads dishes/cutlery into dishwasher or washes by hand as required

- Checks completed load for cleanliness and re-wash if necessary

- Reports any malfunctions, breakage or discrepancies to the supervisor

- Stores all clean items in the appropriate area

- Sorts and removes garbage and recycling

- Cleans all general kitchen areas including floors, counters and workspaces

- Assists with the receipt of goods into the work area and stock shelves

- Prepares some food products as requested





- May clean general and common areas in some locations

- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments

- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)

- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations

- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

- High School Diploma

- Ability to exceed internal customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication

- Minimum 6 months work experience
