We are a locally owned renovation company looking to hire a Lead Carpenter. We are looking for an energetic individual to take charge and lead the way on site. You will be leading a two man crew and will be teaching along the way as well. Ideally looking for 4 years previous Carpentry experience however skill is more important. Must be well rounded in many aspects of the trade including:

Framing

Finishing Carpentry

Tiling

Drywalling (mudding and taping)

This candidate will display robust leadership abilities and possess the necessary skillset to complete jobs. Must have own toolbelt, basic tools and reliable transportation and work well in a team environment.

Salary: $35-$45 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Experience:

- carpentry: 4 years (preferred)
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements




- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
- Supervise apprentices and other construction workers

Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program

or

A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in carpentry

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
