We are currently looking to fill the following position:

Intermediate Accountant

This position will be responsible for supporting the organization's accounting, reporting, and financial analysis functions by ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and timely management reporting. The role provides accounting support across taxation, payroll, accounts payable, accruals, property tax, capital projects, and joint venture activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and file GST/PST returns and process payroll transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as required.
- Manage accounts payable activities, including invoice coding, review, approval verification, and payment uploads.




- Assist in variance and trend analysis to identify key financial drivers and support business decision-making.
- Support monthly financial reporting for OPEX, CAPEX, and G&A; expenditures.
- Support property tax assessments through historical cost analysis and documentation.
- Prepare and review capital and operating expense accruals to ensure accurate period-end reporting.
- Provide accounting and reporting support for joint venture operations, including partner billing and cost allocations.
- Review partner costs, investigate discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues and ad hoc inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
