Join our dynamic team at The Green Pineapple today! We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our Kootenay budtending team. Previous cannabis knowledge and retail experience is an asset, but a willingness to learn is essential. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cannabis culture, exhibit great customer service and communication skills, as well as have a solid ability to work within a team environment. Our stores are located in Warfield & Fruitvale BC. Our store’s operating hours are 9am-9pm, 7 days a week, including holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and qualified manner
- Provide accurate information about different strains, products, and consumption methods
- Assist customers in selecting the right cannabis products based on their preferences and needs
- Educate customers on the effects, benefits, and potential risks of different cannabis products
- Process transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure product displays are well-stocked and organized
- Follow all safety and security protocols to ensure compliance with provincial/federal regulations
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of the store
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns
Experience:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods is highly desirable
- Familiarity with computer operations and POS systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively explain complex information to customers
- Cash handling experience is preferred
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 19 years of age
- Valid Selling it Right certification (upon hire)
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts
