Strathroy Scale is a family owned and operated company in the weighing industry and is currently looking for a full time Service Technician. The technician will perform or assist with setup, installations, repairs, maintenance and certifications of a wide range of scales and related products. The successful candidate will be expected to self manage in a variety of different working environments while working face to face with customers.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair and maintain a wide range of scale equipment in the field, often working independently.
- Perform Measurement Canada Certifications/ Inspections (recognized technicians)
- Basic mechanical, electronic and computer knowledge.
- Work closely with customers to provide assistance with basic maintenance procedures.
- Maintain vehicles, tools, equipment and PPE in an organized fashion.
- Willing to work long hours.
- Write organized and accurate service reports for customers.
- Willing to constantly learn and grow with the company.
Assets
- Experience with mechanical or electronic service, preferably in the scale industry (required)
- A valid G drivers license (mandatory)
- DZ licence (asset)
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints and schematics
- Possess good writing skills
- Able to communicate with customers
- Familiar working with hand tools/ power tools etc.
- This is a hands-on job that requires you to be physically fit, working in a variety of different types of environments across southwestern Ontario.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $42,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
