Summary of Position
Reporting to the site Foreman, this position will assist all field personnel to perform all water and sewer activities in a safe and efficient manner.
Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
Dig trenches in preparation for pipelayers
Load and unload tools, equipment and materials
Mix, pour and cut concrete
Operate industrial equipment and hand tools
Perform manual and physically demanding labour as assigned
Setting up trench shoring
Signal and direct equipment operators
Direct traffic as required
Qualifications, Training and Education
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unaided
Class 5 Driver’s license is an asset
Confined Space Entry/Monitor

CSTS 2020
WHMIS 2015
Working Conditions
Labourers are expected to do physically demanding work in different positions (kneeling, standing, etc.). The successful applicants will be working outdoors in dusty and underground environments, including sewers, through all weather conditions.
