Compensation: Base Salary $50,000 - $80,000 per year + Commission

We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Technical Sales Representative to join our team. This position offers excellent earning potential for a sales professional who enjoys building customer relationships, solving technical challenges, and developing new business opportunities.

Position Summary

The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying recent business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and providing technical solutions to plastics manufacturers, recyclers, compounders, and processors. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to understand their needs and recommend the most effective equipment and services.

This role requires technical sales background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel throughout North America and internationally as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop new business opportunities while promoting and selling Orenda’s plastic pulverizing, grinding, and size reduction equipment.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and industry partners.
- Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, and equipment demonstrations.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate equipment solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, sales forecasts, and reports.
- Follow up on sales leads and opportunities in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing,



and service departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Support customers throughout the sales process and after equipment installation.
- Maintain accurate customer records using CRM software.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Generate sales reposts (quotes VR Sales) monthly

Qualifications

Required

- Minimum 2 years of technical sales experience in North American industrial markets.
- Solid technical aptitude and ability to understand and explain mechanical equipment and industrial processes.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.

Travel Requirements

This position requires regular travel throughout Canada and the United States, with occasional travel to Europe and other international destinations.

The successful candidate must be able to travel immediately upon hire and maintain all required travel documentation and eligibility to enter the countries where Orenda conducts business.

Travel is expected to represent approximately 25% of the work time.
