Fortress Construction was incorporated in 2007 as a residential foundation contractor in the Athabasca, AB area. Since then, the company has grown to serve the commercial and industrial markets throughout BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

We are hiring for our 2026 construction season.

Job Location:

- Remote Camp Jobs
- Alberta - Edmonton and various locations in Alberta- Misc. Concrete foundation projects

Carpenters - $44-48/Hr

- Experience in forming, wood and steel, place and finish
- Read drawings, and understand elevation, coordinates and work points
- Signal and direct pumping from concrete trucks;
- Pour concrete according to project specifications. Placing with hand screed or power screed. Finishing either a hand trowel, or power trowel
- Skid Steer experience or Zoom Boom experience
- Ability to work cohesively, as a team, with other finishers, placers, and laborer

Apprentices $24-42/Hr

- Experience in forming, wood and steel, place and finish concrete
- Perform physical work like packing,



tying and cutting rebar
- Pour concrete according to project specifications. Placing with hand screed or power screed.
- Finishing either a hand trowel, or power trowel
- Read and interpret detail sheets and drawings
- Ability to work cohesively, as a team, with other finishers, placers, and laborer

Qualifications:

- Required Tickets: CSTS2020,WHMIS, CSO, 1st Aid, H2S Alive
- PPE: Hard hat, Steel Toes, High Vis, Safety Glasses
- Basic Tools and Belt
- Drivers license
- Drug and Alcohol testing as required

All position must be willing to travel. Shifts will vary depending on the job, our most common shift is 14 days on and 7 days off.

Job Types: Full time, Seasonal, Apprenticeship
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour

Experience:

- Concrete Finishing: 1 year (preferred)
- Concrete: 1 year (preferred)
