Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or primers for optimal tile adhesion
- Measure spaces accurately and cut tiles using hand tools such as tile cutters, saws, and snips to fit designated areas
- Lay tiles systematically to ensure proper alignment, spacing, and aesthetic appeal while maintaining a clean work area
- Apply grout, caulking, and sealants to finish joints and ensure water-tightness and durability of the installation
- Use carpentry skills to modify or construct framing or backing for tile surfaces when needed




- Conduct quality checks throughout the process to guarantee exact installation and adherence to safety standards

Requirements

- Proven experience with hand tools used in tile installation, including cutters, saws, trowels, and levels
- Construction experience with a focus on flooring installation or related trades such as carpentry or handyman work
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately to execute projects effectively
- Knowledge of tile laying techniques, grout application, caulking, and surface preparation methods
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, kneel, lift heavy materials, and work in various environments for extended periods
- Familiarity with flooring installation processes and general construction practices is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with good communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
