Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections according to Alberta Transportation regulations.
- Safe Operations: Safely operate commercial Class 1 vehicles with manual transmisson, including b-train.
- Cargo Securement: Properly secure cargo, and oversee safe loading and unloading procedures.
- Compliance: Strictly adhere to Hours of Service regulations, manage electronic logging devices (ELDs), and maintain accurate logbooks and delivery paperwork.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatch and clients. Fluent in reading, writing and speaking english.
Minimum 3 years of verifiable Class 1 driving experience. Winter driving and ability to use chains when required.
- Certifications: Common Safety Orientation (CSO), Transportation of Dangerous Goods, cargo securement, hours of service, weights and demensions and ability to work on Oil Sands sites without restriction
- Physical Ability: Capability to sit for long periods, perform manual labor (including lifting, chaining, and tarping), and work in all weather conditions.

Additional Information
- Occasional over night trips may be required
- Routes are predomitly in Fort McMurray but may be required to haul in Western Canada.
Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour
