JCurrently seeking Experienced Forklift Operators for job opportunities coming in 2 weeks

DAYS: 7:00 am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 1 pm Fridays

Afternoons: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-1:00am (Fridays – 1:30pm- 8:30pm)

Days: $24.00/hr

Rate: $24.50/hr

Location: 401 & Hurontario

Start Date: ASAP

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years experience operating lift truck with box clamp attachment an asset
- Must be Counterbalance and Raymond reach certified
- Must pass pre-screening test. Familiar with the safety aspects associated with the loading and unloading of trailers
- CSA approved Safety Shoes a MUST

Work experience

- Familiar with how basic locator systems work
- Strong background in bulk order picking using lift trucks with clamp attachments
- Familiar with picking and shipping requirements of Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R Us, etc.
- Able to maintain high level of accuracy and attention to detail Attitude
- Able to clearly communicate their expectations for this job assignment
- Willingly adapts to changing tasks and shifting work assignments
- Desire to work evenings
- Desire to work overtime
- Comfortable being a temporary employee working in a unionized environment
- Good attendance is essential

- Operate reach and counterbalance forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse
- Utilize clamp trucks and order pickers for efficient handling of goods
- Perform accurate order picking and inventory management using warehouse management systems
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and equipment,



performing basic maintenance as needed
- Assist with order fulfillment by selecting and preparing products for shipment or storage
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations, including heavy lifting procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines

Experience

- Proven experience operating forklifts, specifically reach and counterbalance models
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and order picking procedures
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Prior experience working in a rapid-paced warehouse environment is desirable
