Feast is a wholesale production kitchen within Circles and Squares (East York) that produces a wide variety of savoury food items for dozens of cafes, grocers, and markets throughout the GTA.

The right candidate will be responsible for working together with their team of fellow cooks to complete daily production for our wholesale menu. This position requires cooking experience, good organizational skills and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Daily production of assigned items, adhering to recipe specifications and guidelines
- Meet production schedules to ensure packaging and delivery schedules are met
- Ensure utilization of standardized recipes and portion control techniques to minimize waste and assure the required portions are produced
- Preparing all ingredients for salad, breakfast cups, sandwiches, and prepared meals.
- Ensure kitchen and workstations are always clean and properly sanitized
- Accurate recording of production amounts waste/shrink and time/temperature information on hard copy
- Maintain high standards of food quality and appearance
- Follows first in/first out procedures to assure rotation of stock
- Neat and Clean appearance required




- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Must work closely with others in a team atmosphere
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds independently (on an occasional basis)
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, pull, push, stop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the assigned shift
- Must be able to read, write and understand instructions, warnings, labels, and postings in English effectively
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 year work experience in kitchens, preferably in high volume food production
- High school or equivalent
- Food Handlers certificate an asset
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English
- Inventory Management experience an asset
- Detail oriented and able to multitask
