Duties
- Create detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications
- · Utilize specialized software such as Revit, SysQue & AutoCAD to develop accurate and precise drawings
- · Incorporate design changes and modifications as directed by project managers
- · Prepare and update schematics, layouts, and blueprints for construction projects
- · Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all drafted designs
- · Review and analyze project specifications to identify potential design issues or conflicts
- · Collaborate with other drafters and team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in drawings
- · Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and project documentation
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Architectural, Mechanical, Civil, or Engineering Drafting Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of drafting experience, preferably in the mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SysQue. Experience with other CAD/BIM software is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of 2D and 3D drafting, BIM workflows, and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of drafting standards, engineering drawing conventions, symbols, and applicable building codes.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, hydronics, and piping layouts, is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate,
high-quality technical drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify design conflicts and recommend practical solutions.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with engineers, project managers, field personnel, and other team members.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
- Knowledge of Manitoba Building Code, National Plumbing Code, National Building Code, and applicable industry standards is considered an asset.

Compensation
- Offers a competitive compensation package based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SysQue, and knowledge of mechanical systems. Salary will be discussed during the interview process.
Job Type: Full time
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
