Due to Ontario Long-Term Care regulations, candidates must have the following documents before starting shifts.
Candidates who already have complete compliance documentation will be prioritized for upcoming shifts.
Required Compliance
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) – issued within the last 6 months
- 2-Step TB Test – issued within the last 6 months
- COVID-19 Vaccination Proof
- Influenza Vaccination Proof (current season)
- Healthcare related certification
- CPR and 1st Aid
- N95 Mask Fit Test
- WHMIS Certificate
- Worker Health & Safety Awareness (WHSA) Certificate
- Government-issued ID
- 3 Skilled References
Successful applicants will be added to our Talent Pool. When opportunities arise for full-time, part-time, or casual shifts at our partner's long-term care homes in your area, we will contact qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including mobility, dressing, grooming,
and personal care assistance
- Assist residents with medication reminders or medication assistance according to retirement home policies after completing required training
- Observe residents and report any changes in health, mood, or behaviour to nursing staff
- Support residents’ comfort, safety, and emotional well-being through respectful and compassionate interaction
- Assist with resident activities and engagement to promote social and physical well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans as directed by the care team
- Follow infection prevention and control (IPAC) practices and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with nurses, PSWs, and other team members to support resident care
