About Us
Foreplay is a fast-growing SaaS company helping 10,000+ brands and agencies (like AG1, Dr. Squatch, and Rhode Beauty) unlock creative inspiration and analytics. We’re bootstrapped, profitable, and scaling rapid. Now, we’re looking for our first AI Ops & Automation Engineer a hybrid of builder, hacker, and strategist to help us discover and deploy high-leverage AI and automation opportunities across the business.

The Mission
Your role is to make our company faster, leaner, and smarter with AI. You’ll uncover inefficiencies, build no-code/low-code agents, and deploy workflows that save time and unlock growth. Think of this as being the “automation layer” across every team: marketing, sales, product, and ops.

What You’ll Do

- Discover opportunities: Shadow teams, run audits, and spot repetitive processes that AI can automate.
- Prototype & build: Use platforms like n8n, Gumloop, Zapier, Langflow, Relevance AI, and APIs (including our own Foreplay API) to build workflows and agents.
- Deploy & scale: Move experiments into production, monitor them, and document workflows for others.
- Drive growth: Build AI-driven workflows for lead gen, campaign scaling, competitor insights, and creative research.
- Experiment creatively: Push boundaries. Build scrappy internal tools that give us unfair advantages.

What We’re Looking For





- Strong fluency with no-code/low-code automation tools (n8n, Gumloop, Zapier, Make, Airtable, Notion, etc.).
- Comfort with APIs, JSON, webhooks, and basic scripting (Python or JavaScript).
- A product mindset: you care about business impact, not just technical novelty.
- A builder personality: scrappy, resourceful, and curious. You tinker until it works.
- Ability to translate vague problems into clear, automated workflows.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Bonus Points

- Experience in marketing tech, SaaS, or growth-focused roles.
- Exposure to AI agent frameworks.
- Portfolio of past automation/AI projects you can share.
