We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude who can effectively handle physical and manual work in an industrial setting, and can make a positive contribution to the team.
What this job involves:
- Operation of induction furnaces.
- Buffing, grinding, and cleaning of finished metal products.
- Able to handle chemicals and acids in a safe manner.
- Cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment.
- Transporting large barrels of batch process material using material handling equipment several times per shift.
- Repetitive manual scooping of material from cells.
- Monitoring and treating large chemical batch processes.
- Heavy repetitive lifting of up to 60lbs on a frequent basis.
- Perform work in a safe manner, able to wear appropriate PPE, and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other job-related tasks as required.
What we are looking for:
- Two years experience in an industrial manufacturing / production environment performing physical / manual work.
- Experience working with chemicals and acids in an industrial setup, with a strong background in adhering to safety protocols.
- Able to lift up to 60lbs on a repetitive basis.
- Previous experience working with molten metals within a melting, foundry or casting environment preferred.
- Able to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons and nights), and weekends as required on full time basis.
- Must be comfortable working within a hot environment and wearing personal protective equipment.
- Experience driving a forklift is an asset.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with team members.
