Buyer & Production Coordinator – CNC Manufacturing

Production doesn’t wait — and neither can materials, drawings, or outside processing. Our client is seeking a hands-on Buyer & Production Coordinator to support a quick-moving CNC manufacturing environment, ensuring materials are ordered on time, work orders are accurate, and production flows without disruption.

Key Responsibilities

Materials & Vendor Management

· Issue and manage purchase orders for raw materials and shop supplies.

· Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with production needs.

· Review and verify vendor invoices against pricing, quantities, and delivery terms.

· Proactively identify material shortages and recommend solutions to Operations.

· Source alternate suppliers when delays or shortages arise.

Production Coordination

· Prepare and release work orders.

· Print and coordinate mechanical drawings.

· Allocate outside services (heat treat, coating,



etc.) and required materials.

· Support time-sensitive production schedules to keep jobs on track.

Qualifications

· 2+ years’ purchasing experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.

· Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings (AutoCAD required).

· Strong Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office.

· Experience with ERP or MES systems considered an asset.

· Practical communication and vendor negotiation skills.

· Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize in a production-driven setting.
