About the Role

Westward is looking for a hands-on Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to join our growing team in Fort McMurray. This on-the-tools role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working in the field and thrive in commercial, industrial and local service settings. We value safety, professionalism, and hard work.

Responsibilities

- Perform on-site electrical work in commercial, industrial and service environments
- Follow safe work practices and wear proper PPE at all times
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and plan daily tasks
- Work closely with apprentices and co-workers to complete scopes efficiently
- Participate in daily safety meetings and hazard assessments
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and team members
- Provide field-level guidance when required

Requirements

- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician certification (Required)
- Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract (Required)
- Minimum 2 years commercial and industrial site experience (Required)
- Strong understanding of Electrical and Building Codes
- Able to read and red-line electrical drawings




- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must live in or be willing to relocate to Fort McMurray, AB
