Position Overview:

We are looking for a Mason who is passionate about their craft and eager to grow with our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in masonry techniques and a desire to take on new challenges. Responsibilities:

- Perform masonry work according to project specifications and quality standards
- Assist with the installation of various masonry materials, including natural and manufactured stone, brick and block.
- Prepare surfaces for stone installation, including layout and cutting of masonry.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Take initiative to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
- Stone Masonry Work: Perform skilled stone masonry work including cutting, shaping, carving, and laying stones using traditional techniques.
- Heritage Restoration: Execute restoration projects on historic buildings and monuments,



ensuring adherence to conservation principles and standards.
- Material Preparation: Prepare materials such as mortar, grout, and other construction materials as needed for masonry work.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, preservationists, and other professionals to ensure project objectives are met.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and machinery used in stone masonry work.
- Quality Control: Ensure the quality of workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.
- Continuing Education: Stay updated on advancements in stone masonry techniques, materials, and conservation practices through ongoing education and training.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in masonry, with a focus on restoration preferred.
- Skills: Proficient with masonry techniques including cutting, shaping, carving, and pointing. Familiarity with lime mortars and other historic building materials is desirable. Proficient with new CMU block and brick installation.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and attention to detail to achieve high-quality craftsmanship.




- Physical Stamina: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
- Team Player: Robust interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions to overcome challenges encountered during masonry projects.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional training or certification in stone masonry or heritage conservation is preferred.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous stone masonry work, particularly in heritage conservation projects, recent brick and block construction, is highly beneficial
- Must have reliable transportation.

Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
