Event Staff (Comedy Festival) - Temporary

About Our Client

Our client has a super exciting event happening at the Garrison Grounds next week (August 4th, August 5th and August 10th). They require some strong, dedicated, hard working event staff to ensure a timely set up and tear down of the event! If you are not interested but you have a friend that may be available, please share this with them.

What You Will Be Doing, as Event Staff:

· Working as event set up on August 4th & August 5th

· Unloading trucks and flatbeds of equipment

· Moving gates, tents, tables, chairs, temporary walls, setting up lighting and more

· Working as event tear-down on August 10th at the conclusion of the festival

· Complete additional tasks as assigned

What You Should Have, as a Event Staff:

· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs – anything more, would be with assistance

· This will be repetitive as you move tables and chairs and other large items, across a field

· Working outside in any weather

· This position is ONLY for August 4th, August 5th and August 10th since it is an event. However, if you are a good performer, we will do our best to find you other work in Halifax.

· Ability to stand, bend, crouch, walk, all shift

· Must be able to pass a criminal background check

· Ability to communicate perfectly in English

· Great team work and multitasking skills

· CSA Safety Shoes/Boots

In Return You Will Receive:

· $18.50 per hour

· 4% vacation pay accrued and paid out when requested





· Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

The Shift You Will be Working is:

· Tuesday, August 4th – 9:30am to 5:30pm

· Wednesday, August 5th— 9:30am to 5:30pm

· Monday, August 10th - 9:30am to 5:30pm
