We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Cycle Accountant to join our finance team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete accounting cycle and must have hands-on experience with QuickBooks and prior Canadian accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger
- Maintain accurate financial records and post journal entries in QuickBooks
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities
- Prepare financial statements and management reports
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and file Canadian sales tax returns (HST/GST/PST) and payroll remittances
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Assist with external audits and provide audit documentation
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Mandatory experience using QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
- Canadian accounting experience is required
- Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP/IFRS and Canadian tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Working toward or completion of CPA designation is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
