WESI is seeking an experienced Subsea Equipment Engineer to support a client in offshore subsea operations in Newfoundland and Labrador. This role is responsible for overseeing activities at a subsea facility, managing service provider interfaces, and ensuring the engineering, procurement, testing, and operational readiness of subsea equipment and control systems.

This is primarily an office-based position with occasional offshore travel.

Responsibilities

- Specify requirements and manage the procurement, engineering, and testing of subsea equipment and software, primarily for subsea control systems.
- Provide engineering support through document reviews, design reviews, and technical evaluations.
- Support infrastructure replacement, equipment upgrades, repairs, spare parts management, and obsolescence planning.
- Review component quality records to verify equipment integrity.
- Coordinate equipment preparation and testing to ensure readiness for offshore operations.
- Coordinate the storage, preservation, and maintenance of subsea inventory.
- Provide engineering support for subsea operational issues, including technical studies,



procurement, and testing activities.
- Participate in special projects and subsea well delivery activities as required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
- Registered, or eligible for registration, with Qualified Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL).
- Minimum 10 years of offshore oil and gas experience with subsea control equipment and systems.
- Experience with the engineering design, fabrication, and testing of oil and gas equipment.
- Knowledge of applicable offshore oil and gas industry standards.
- Experience supporting offshore subsea installation activities.
- Contract management and facilities management experience.

Position Details

- Office-based position (40 hours/week)
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional offshore travel required
- Candidates must be eligible and able to work offshore in Newfoundland and Labrador.
