About the Job
A mature, professional individual is required as Commercial Glass Estimator/Project Manager. The applicant will have experience in estimating commercial glass jobs, including curtain wall, store fronts, office partition glass, aluminum doors etc. Must be proficient in reading plans and architectural drawings and preparing bids off drawings.

Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

- Must be fluid/proficient in speaking English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Read plans and drawings, identify items within scope and provide exact measurements from drawings. Provide sizes to Autocad drafters for shop drawings. ( Ability to do own shop drawings a benefit but not required)

- Source material and calculate cost & Labour and then prepare estimate/quotes

- Prepare purchase orders, order material, monitor confirmations and ensure material arrives.





- Upon job acceptance and scheduling, follow job through to completion. Including job site visits if required, provide guidance to the installers, invoicing the job, resolve scheduling issues and maintaining communication with the customer to ensure satisfactory completion

- Form and maintain relationships with general contractors and customers. Take a proactive approach to sourcing developing new relationships and sourcing current work

- Openness and willingness to develop and expand your skill set and learn new aspects of the industry

The ideal candidate must have/be:

- Valid drivers license
- Possess good computer proficiency
- Transportation to and from work
- Hardworking, committed and a team player

- Proficient at reading plans and architectural drawing

- Able to multi-task and works well in a sometimes fast paced and busy workplace
- Positive time management and detail oriented

**** Training on products and software systems will be provided****

Expected hours: 40 per week
