Job Description:

We are seeking for an Intermediate Mechanical Designer (HVAC and plumbing) to join our growing team. You will be a key member of our Engineering Team and learn through hand-on and involvement in various projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

- Design of building mechanical systems including HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Building Automation
- Field surveying to review and audit existing building mechanical systems
- Production of engineering load calculations, equipment sizing and selection
- Production of engineered drawings, details and schematics in AutoCAD
- Preparation of technical specifications
- Preparation of technical reports
- Coordination with other disciplines
- Contract administration duties

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Eligibility for P.Eng. is an assett
- Previous experience in building mechanical systems (plumbing & drainage, HVAC, fire protection) design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- HVAC load calculations (HAP preferred, energy modeling is an asset)




- Familiarity with Ontario Building Code (OBC), ASHRAE, NFPA
- Valid driver’s license and owned vehicle for travel to sites
