Job Overview:
Duration: August 10, 2026 - December 31, 2026 with the possibility of extension depending on company needs.
Hours: 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday with some exceptions
We are seeking someone to start on or around August 10th, 2026 who wishes to grow with our company. We are a small company of 4 enthusiastic and friendly people seeking a fifth member who will help us make and package cheese. This person must be able to work all day on their feet and should therefore value incorporating movement into their work life. The person must be generally positive and able to follow instructions.
No specific skills are required although experience in food production and safety would be an asset.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of our head cheesemaker. The working language is English. We especially welcome applications from minority groups, women, recent immigrants, and persons with disabilities.
Duties:
- Learn the general operations of a cheese manufacturing facility including cheesemaking, ageing and packaging
- Wash and sanitize equipment
- Strictly follow food safety protocols
Requirements:
- Ability to stay on your feet all day moving around
- A cell phone and proficiency in use of email and text messaging
- Attention to detail and strict adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team workplace
