Community Counseling Center (CCC)

Edmonton

At the Community Counselling Centre, we believe that healing is an inclusive human right and is for everyone. We are a dynamic mental health clinic dedicated to making mental wellness accessible, supportive, and safe. We’re looking for a creative storyteller who can take psychology concepts and viral trends and turn them into compelling, high-quality content that educates, entertains, and inspires our community.

In this role, you will enjoy a high level of autonomy with hands-off supervision. You will have the freedom to play, be creative, and explore.

If you are a self-sufficient creator who is hungry to expand your portfolio, test new ideas, and build something unique from the ground up, you’ll thrive on our team.

*Ideally this is an in-person position but if you can pitch a creative way to do it from another province within Canada please include this within your application*

Job Duties:

- Ideate & Execute: Brainstorm, shoot, edit, and post original content across TikTok, Instagram (Reels), Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts.
- Trend Translation: Spot emerging social media trends and put a humorous and creative, psychological, and personalized lens on them.
- Problem-Solve on the Fly: Figure out the "how" behind creative challenges independently and adapt quickly to algorithm shifts.
- Build the Brand: Balance educational mental health insights with humour, wit, and relatable storytelling.

Who You Are:

- Creatively Energetic & Innovative: You have an undeniable spark,

a sharp sense of humour, and you know how to stop a user from scrolling past the first 2 seconds.
- Self-Motivated & Organized: You thrive with autonomy and minimal supervision. You don't need a manager checking in constantly because you manage your own workflow seamlessly.
- Hungry to Grow: You treat this contract not just as a job, but as an opportunity to expand your skillset, experiment with current styles, and build your personal portfolio.
- Quick on Your Feet: You are a natural problem solver who doesn't get creatively blocked by technical glitches or sudden creative pivots.
- Trend-Savvy but Original: You know what's trending, but you never just copy and paste. You know how to make a trend uniquely ours through personal creativity and vision.

Requirements:

- Proven experience creating short-form video content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts). A portfolio or link to accounts you’ve managed/created is mandatory.
- Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar).
- A basic interest in or understanding of psychology/mental health is a massive plus, but a willingness to learn is essential.
- You possess a growth-oriented mindset and are willing to challenge yourself and your creativity.

This starts as a part-time three month contract role, with a clear pathway to transition to a full-time position based on performance.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Benefits:

- Casual dress
- Flexible schedule

Work Location: In person
