Construction Labourer

640 Earthworks is currently looking to hire a Construction Labourer to join our team.

We are a civil construction company based out of Elk Point, Alberta, completing municipal, water and sewer, lift station, pump station, and general civil construction projects throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan.

We are currently looking for someone to join our crew for an upcoming project starting August 25, 2026.

This position is a good fit for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, and comfortable working outdoors in a construction environment. We are willing to train the right person. Previous water and sewer construction experience would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant may be involved with:

- Assisting pipe crews with water, sewer, and storm utility installation
- General labour duties on civil construction sites
- Shovelling, grading, compacting, and site cleanup
- Assisting operators, pipelayers, and supervisors as required
- Handling tools, materials, pipe, fittings, and construction supplies
- Helping with trench work, bedding, backfill, and restoration
- Following company safety procedures and site-specific requirements





Qualifications

Applicants should have:

- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Reliable transportation to/from the shop or job site
- Ability to work well with a crew
- Water and sewer construction experience is an asset, but not required
- Equipment experience is an asset, but not required

- WHMIS
- TDG
- Any other relevant safety training or certifications
