About Us:
Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a remote Data Migration Specialist for our client.

You MUST currently hold a VALID Secret Clearance (Level II) to apply for this position.

Required Qualifications:

Security & Environment

- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience working in Government of Canada secure environments
- Ability to operate in security-constrained M365 tenants

SharePoint Online (Backend Focus)

- Strong experience with SharePoint Online architecture
- Site collection & hub site design
- Document library architecture
- Managed Metadata / Term Store configuration
- Content types & columns design
- Versioning & document lifecycle management
- Retention labels & compliance configuration
- Permissions restructuring (inheritance breaking, security trimming)

DMS / Migration Experience

- Experience migrating from:

• Legacy intranet platforms
• Shared drives
• OpenText / eDocs / GCDocs (asset)

- Content inventory & rationalization (ROT analysis)
- Metadata mapping & normalization
- Version history management
- Bulk migration execution

Migration Tooling

- ShareGate
- Metalogix
- AvePoint
- PowerShell scripting for automation




- Experience handling large lists & SPO thresholds

Information Architecture

- Information architecture design
- Taxonomy development
- Metadata governance models
- Naming conventions & document standards
- Records management alignment

Reporting & Validation

- Migration reconciliation reporting
- Pre- and post-migration validation
- Audit reporting
- Issue tracking & remediation documentation

Soft Skills

- Strong stakeholder communication
- Ability to work independently (remote)
- Experience advising business users on content cleanup
- Documentation & knowledge transfer capability

- AI-assisted metadata classification
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate for workflows)
- Microsoft Purview compliance exposure
