Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and customer-focused Cashier to join our gas station team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, maintaining a clean store environment, and assisting with daily operations both inside and outside the station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Process cash, debit, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays.
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, and surrounding areas.
- Empty garbage bins and ensure waste disposal areas are clean and organized.
- Perform routine car wash duties, including cleaning and maintaining the car wash area, monitoring equipment, and reporting maintenance issues.
- Keep fuel pump areas clean and free of debris.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock items.
- Verify age identification for restricted products as required by law.
- Assist customers with questions and product inquiries.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures.
- Support team members with daily tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous cashier or retail experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Dependable, honest, and able to work independently.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg).
