ROLE SUMMARY:

The Electrician is primarily responsible to service, maintain and install equipment. .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provides support for the testing, repairing and calibration of electric and electronic components
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematic
- Respond and support all electrical maintenance requirements within the department
- Know and understand process documentation and customer specific requirements, as they relate to the job function
- Establish and follow-up project implementation, including timing, concept, feasibility, design, specifications, construction and commissioning, as required
- Provide support in troubleshooting, repairing and making system improvements (optimization), to ensure quality and efficiencies within the department
- Identify root cause of equipment failures and follow-up on feasibility of modifications
- Analyze, record, chart and maintain all documentation for maintenance records, projects and departments, including generating work orders and updates to SAP
- Deal with various vendors (Supplier and Equipment)




- Participate in cross-functional training (multi-skilling) activities related to other trades, within the organization
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving results
- Perform preventative maintenance to defined schedules
- Assist and support in all other technical areas, where required
- Ensure all operator safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations
- Maintain a clean and environmentally safe workshop and production lines.
- Follow and comply with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook,
- Perform other duties as required

KEY QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENT:

- Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment
- Ability to work independently, without supervision
- Ability to work to deadlines and support multiple demands
- Ability to work overtime to meet customer requirements
- Minimum of 3 years industrial experience
- Possess knowledge and experience in Ontario electrical safety code,

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
