About The Position:
Are you an experiencedCNC Lathe Operator or Setup/Programmer looking for a stable, long-term opportunity on a steady night shift?
We're hiring for a well-established Hamilton manufacturer (40+ years in business) specializing in precision production machining - this is NOT a job shop, meaning consistent work, clean processes, and a structured environment.
Wage: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
What You Will Be Doing
- Set up and operate CNC lathes (Mazak, Miyano or similar)
- Load bar stock and monitor production runs
- Make tooling adjustments and optimize speeds/feeds
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Troubleshoot minor issues and respond to machine alarms
- Perform routine machine maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
What We Are Looking For:
- 3+ years of CNC lathe experience (setup and/or operation)
- Experience with Mazak, Miyano, or similar CNC machines
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
- Comfortable working independently on night shift
- High attention to detail and quality
- CNC programming experience (G-code or conversational)
- Experience in high-volume or production machining
- Previous experience working permanent nights
