Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our team at Hangry Piri Piri Chicken. The ideal candidate will assist in daily food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness while ensuring high food quality and consistency in a fast-paced quick-service restaurant environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Food Preparation

- Prepare ingredients including cutting, marinating, and portioning chicken, vegetables, and other items
- Assist in preparing signature piri piri sauces and marinades
- Follow standardized recipes to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain proper food storage and labeling practices

Cooking & Line Operations

- Cook menu items including rotisserie chicken, tenders, sandwiches, tacos, and sides
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and rotisserie ovens safely
- Ensure all food is cooked to company standards and food safety guidelines
- Assemble orders quickly and accurately during busy service periods Cleanliness & Food Safety
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and prep area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations (FIFO, temperature control,



hygiene standards)
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils regularly
- Assist with daily and weekly cleaning tasks

Inventory & Support

- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Monitor stock levels and inform management when supplies are low
- Minimize food waste and follow portion control guidelines

Teamwork

- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Communicate clearly during service to ensure smooth operations
- Support team members during peak hours

Requirements

- Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred (QSR experience an asset)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Robust attention to detail and time management
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends

Job Types: Full-time, Part time

Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
