Part Time Cook

Fast food experience is not sufficient, must have full meal cooking experience.

Shifts are 6:30am to 2:00pm and/or 11am to 7pm (Subject to change)

**Must be available to start immediately and work all shifts

- **MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE COOKING in a retirement home setting

The cook will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Setting up, Sanitizing, cleaning, and organizing work stations
- Preparing ingredients for the shift and/or the following shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc, and following food health and safety procedures.
- Home Style Cooking is expected
- Storing all food properly, monitoring and recording food temps, fridge temps etc.
- Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed

Salary:



From $19.00- $21.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Sunday
- Morning shift
- Weekends

Experience:

- Culinary: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Protected, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Thorold, ON L2V 1Y7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
