NuHome Exterior Group is a growing roofing and siding company committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and customer service throughout Calgary and the surrounding area. We are looking for a motivated, driven, and ambitious Junior Estimator/Business Development Coordinator to join our team.

We provide full project management and delivery of all exterior elements for new, restoration and maintenance projects including replacements, leak repairs, and new installations. We deliver lasting value for our clients through meticulous planning and scheduling, while upholding rigorous safety and quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the construction industry. You will have the opportunity to work closely with owners, property managers, engineers, and general contractors. The successful candidate will work closely with our Sales Manager and Senior Project Manager while also playing an active role in generating new commercial business opportunities.

Responsibilities

- Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents to gather necessary information for estimates
- Set up projects in our CRM and estimating system
- Support the development of detailed cost estimates using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate terms when appropriate
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and analyze material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs
- Contribute to the creation of bid proposals that are clear, comprehensive, and competitive




- Maintain organized records of all estimating documentation, correspondence, and pricing data
- Support project management teams by providing preliminary estimates and assisting with scope clarification as needed
- Dissemination of tender packages and assist in the production of a competitive quote
- Mark up drawings and blueprints
- Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets
- Complete hand overs to the production team
- Email clients and suppliers as required to facilitate production and design
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

Qualifications/Experience:

- Construction estimating: 1-2 year (preferred but not mandatory)
- Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Excel, Word, and Outlook, BlueBeam, HeavyBid
- Highly organized with exceptional time management skills
- Has some sales/business development background
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in the construction industry is an asset
- Knowledge of drafting/drawing using AutoCAD and/or Sketchup is an asset

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys both the technical side of estimating and the relationship-building side of sales. You are confident speaking with potential clients, proactive in finding new opportunities, and motivated by contributing to the company's continued growth.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
