Job Summary

Our busy bakery is looking for a Line and Prep Cook to work Tuesday-Saturday through December, with potential to continue in 2027. We need a responsible, organized, creative and preferably experienced individual to work the line preparing sandwiches, salads and other lunch items to order and occasionally helping with dishes and with the pastry bake. The successful candidate must be able to work independently in an often fast-paced kitchen and smoothly pivot between tasks while maintaining an organized and santiary prep station.

Duties

- Prepare fresh sandwiches according to established recipes and customer specifications with precision and care.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, garnishing and portioning to maintain efficiency during busy hours.
- Take personal inventory of products on the line and topping up as needed or communicating their needs to others.
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety standards and sanitation regulations to guarantee food safety and quality.
- Support the kitchen team by organizing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness and managing stock levels for smooth operations.




- Follow proper cooking procedures for hot items and ensure all are cooked to the correct temperature and held at the corrrect temperature.

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, management or food service roles within a restaurant or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to efficiently prepare meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic cooking techniques.
- Attention to detail in portioning, presentation, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining quality standards.

Pay: $17.50-$19.00 per hour
