What you will do:

1. Strong communication - Confirm needs & logistics with Project Managers & Clients – External / Internal

2. Prepare for and lead daily dispatch meeting – communication plans and gaps

3. Allocate equipment and manpower resources to the jobs as per our Project Manager, foreman and client requirements

4. Confirm equipment readiness with Shop Manager

5. Ensure staffing needs assigned, kicked off, committed, and arrive on site ready to work

6. Ensure requested equipment arrives on site, on time and within transportation regulations

7. Support truckers with weights / logistics; create permits; stay updated on regulations

8. Approve time sheets for truckers on a digital system

9. Update appropriate software to track equipment & people

10. Be a outstanding team player that delivers: proactive, organized, collaborative – easy to work with

11. Deliver high customer satisfaction – success is measured by feedback from our clients and your internal customers – including employees, foreman, operations manager, project managers, Indigenous partners and shop foreman.

12. Due to the nature of the industry and the factors that play into it, (weather, client scope adjustments, last minute emergencies, etc)



dispatch requires patience, urgency and excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

Schedule & Compensation:

1. Tri-Gen’s dispatch is a shared position with for flexibility depending on the candidate:

a. 2 weeks on, 1 week off or

b. 1 week on; 2 weeks off

2. We are looking for a local candidate – no living expenses or travel

3. Weekends are on call – working at home or at the shop

4. Week days are as the job requires (7am – 5pm) working from the shop – expect evening calls

5. Compensation will be competitive hourly or salary depending on candidate & schedule

What you will bring:

ü Dispatch experience – at least 1 year in the role

ü Trucking experience and knowledge of transportation weights & permitting

ü Strong knowledge of computers and comfort with learning current applications

ü Strong time management and organization skills

ü Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

ü High energy, positive attitude and patience

ü Flexibility of working hours

ü Additional skills for slower winter months (e.g. mechanical, Class 1 or 3) are an asset

ü Knowledge of our local market

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
