We are looking for a dependable and motivated Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is organized, works well in a rapid-paced environment, thrives as part of a team, and is committed to preparing high-quality food while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces and other menu items.

- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies before service.

- Cook and plate menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.

- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth daily operations.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area throughout each shift.

- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.

- Monitor food quality, freshness, and inventory levels.

- Properly label, rotate, and store food using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.

- Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory.

- Perform opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties as assigned.





Qualifications

- Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a commercial kitchen is preferred but not required.

- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to support coworkers during busy service periods.

- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.

- Food Handler Certification is an asset.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods.

- Capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment for long periods.

- Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and working effectively as part of a team.

- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
