Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Abatement Supervisor to lead and oversee asbestos and hazardous material abatement projects. In this vital role, you will supervise a team of technicians, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and maintain high standards of quality throughout each project. Your leadership will help create safe, clean, and healthy environments by managing all aspects of abatement operations efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

- Supervise daily abatement activities, ensuring all work adheres to safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate project schedules, assign tasks to team members, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
- Conduct site inspections to verify proper use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment during abatement procedures.
- Oversee the proper handling, removal, and disposal of hazardous materials such as asbestos or lead-based paint.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all abatement activities, including safety logs, inspection reports, and compliance records.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors,



and regulatory agencies to ensure transparency and adherence to project specifications.
- Train team members on proper use of custodial tools, cleaning techniques, and safety procedures related to facilities maintenance and hazardous material removal.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to asbestos removal and hazardous waste handling.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for abatement projects.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively.
- Ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Physically capable of heavy lifting and performing manual labor throughout the workday.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a construction or environmental services setting is preferred.
