Role Description This is an on-site Acupuncturist contract role located in Edmonton, AB. The Acupuncturist will provide patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and perform acupuncture and related modalities to address pain, stress, and various health conditions. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, documenting treatments, monitoring patient progress, and offering education on wellness and preventive care.

The role involves collaborating with massage therapists and other wellness practitioners to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.



The Acupuncturist is expected to maintain a clean and safe treatment environment, adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards, and contribute to a welcoming experience for every patient.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, with the ability to develop evidence-informed treatment plans.

Solid foundation in Medicine and Herbs for integrative, holistic patient care.

Hands-on proficiency with acupuncture techniques, including Moxibustion and protected needle practices.

Current provincial license or registration as an Acupuncturist (or ability to obtain) in Alberta.

Relevant diploma or degree from an accredited acupuncture or traditional Chinese medicine program.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to gender-neutral, non-discriminatory, and trauma-informed care.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary wellness setting and manage a consistent patient schedule.

Experience in a clinical or wellness environment and professional liability insurance are preferred.
