Teach fun magic classes to kids in after-school programs across Toronto — flexible part-time work with great pay ($55/session).
We’re looking for energetic and reliable instructors — no magic experience required (paid training provided).
This role is a great fit for teachers, performers, university students, and anyone who enjoys working with children.
You’ll be teaching engaging magic classes to children ages 5–12 (SK–Grade 7) in local schools.

This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible, part-time work — NOT full-time hours.
- You will typically start with 1 school (1 session per week)
- You will be on-site during after-school hours ( All sessions falls between 3:30–5:15 PM)
- Each class session runs approximately 45mins–1 hr 10 minutes
- As you gain experience, you may be assigned additional schools (up to 5 per week)
- Work follows school schedules and program demand (not guaranteed year-round)
- Locations vary across Toronto (assigned based on your availability and location)
- This is a contract-based position. We prioritize candidates who are interested in continuing with us across multiple school terms
Compensation
- $55 per session (includes teaching + travel time)
Hiring Process (simple and performance based) Step 1: Initial Zoom Interview (August 6–13)
- Learn and perform a simple magic trick (training video provided)
- Short interview to assess communication and personality
Step 2: In-Person Interview (Toronto- Don Mills & York Mills)
- Aug 11 @ 3:00 PM
- OR Aug 13@ 12:00 PM
- Includes a short teaching/demo activity and final evaluation
- (Location details will be shared with selected candidates)
Final hiring decisions will be made shortly after the in-person interview.
Successful candidate will be notified by August 26.
Starting Date:
In the week of Sep 8
Training
- No magic experience required
- You will receive certain hours of paid training at $20/hour (probation period) to learn our curriculum and teaching methods
- After training, you will lead a class as a final evaluation
- Successful completion of this class will qualify you to continue as a lead instructor

Responsibilities
- Teach magic tricks (designed for kids to learn) in a fun, structured way
- Create a positive and engaging classroom environment (typically 5–15 students)
- Help students build confidence and presentation skills
Requirements
- Must able to travel to assigned school locations
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) before starting
- Must have or be willing to obtain CPR certification
- Experience working with children is a strong asset
- Comfortable speaking and performing in front of groups
- Energetic, dependable, and professional
