About the Role
GTA Staffing is recruiting an experienced Aluminium Window Assembler. This is a hands-on production role for a detail-oriented tradesperson who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and can work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years of aluminium window assembly experience, preferably with European systems, and will contribute directly to the quality and output of a collaborative production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate and precise construction of aluminium windows and door systems.
- Measure, cut, shape, and prepare aluminium profiles and related components using hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.
- Assemble window and door frames, sashes, glass panes, glazing, gaskets, and hardware components according to specifications.
- Weld aluminium parts where required, ensuring strong, durable joints that meet quality and structural standards.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specification.
- Operate forklifts and heavy machinery safely to transport and move materials within the manufacturing and warehouse area.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols when handling glass, aluminium profiles, and heavy materials throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and support overall facility output.
- Provide flexibility to assist with various tasks across the production and installation process as needed.
- Occasional travel to Montreal and Ottawa facilities to support production and installation operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in aluminium window and door assembly, preferably with European systems (required).
- Mechanical knowledge of machining, welding, and assembly techniques for aluminium or metal products.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment including forklifts.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality at every stage of the assembly process.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a full shift.
- Prior warehouse or material handling experience is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve assembly issues efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team workplace.
- Flexibility for occasional travel to Montreal and Ottawa facilities.
